The DOVO Black and Silver Shavette 22130481 is a folding barber razor with a black polyamide handle and silver anodised aluminium back. Choose this version for that material combination, rather than assuming every silver-coloured DOVO shavette is made from stainless steel.

Its cutting edge comes from a replaceable blade held in an insert. Unlike a fixed-blade straight razor, there is no permanent edge to hone or strop: replace the blade when required. The exposed edge still needs careful technique and light pressure.

Blade Loading and Care

Remove the holder before loading. If using a full double edge blade, divide it along its centre while it is still in its protective wrapper, then place one half in the holder. Refit the insert securely, following DOVO's instructions and keeping fingers away from the edge.

Rinse the holder and handle after use and dry them before storage. A replacement blade provides a new cutting edge; it does not remove the need to clean the razor.
