Service & Delivery
The Henson AL13 Safety Razor V2.0 in Jet Black brings together considered design and aerospace-level precision. The anodised black finish offers a clean, modern look suited to those who prefer understated grooming tools.
This Henson razor is manufactured in Canada from aircraft-grade aluminium, CNC-machined to tolerances of +/- 0.00025 inches. This ensures consistent blade alignment, allowing the razor to guide itself to the correct shaving angle without constant adjustment.
The head design supports the blade close to the cutting edge, reducing flex and chatter. The result is a controlled, predictable shave.
At just 37g, the Henson AL13 is lighter than most traditional double edge safety razors. This encourages a lighter touch and lets the blade do the work rather than relying on pressure.
Mild Or Medium: Which To Choose
Mild (0.68 mm): Best for those new to safety razors, daily shavers with lighter growth, or anyone with sensitive skin. Offers a gentler introduction with minimal blade exposure.
Medium (0.85 mm): The recommended choice for most users. Suited to regular to coarse beard growth and provides efficient, comfortable shaving. If unsure, start here.
Both deliver a close shave. The difference lies in blade exposure and efficiency.

Find the razor drags a bit with the RK blade, may be I haven't found the correct angle yet. Definitely not as aggressive as I expected, think my Merkur 34C is more aggressive.
Super easy to use, ideal for new DE razor users, great quality, SO much better than multi blade cartridge razors, and much more economical. Highly recommended.
Seen the Henson AL13 reviewed quite a few times on YouTube and I thought I'd give it a try.Ive been shaving with a Rockwell T2 which is a excellent razor, but the AL13 is in a different league, lightweight easy to use,not got to worry about finding the correct angle to shave, the Henson does it for you, basically if you don't get the angle right,it won't shave...
Must add, first class service from Male grooming,Thank-you....
I'm usually used to using a heavy shaver for my daily shave. I thought about trying the Henson AL 13 v2 as I quite fancied a change. I was very surprised to find this shaver is very accurate to use almost surgical like. I quite fancy now perhaps trying to buy a Henson ti22 which is the titanium version. I most certainly recommend this company and this shaver highly. I will be using male grooming supplies again in future.
Having just got back into wet shaving, I thought I would try the T3 Trafalgar & Henson AL13++. I've just used both of them and they are fantastic. The T3 is great for lathering and no need to pre soak. The Henson is just something else. If you are new to wet shaving, go for this, I didn’t have any nicks but a really close shave (3 passes). Don’t be put off as it is very lightweight, the blade will do the work and you will learn how much pressure you need to apply after a couple of uses. Using these going forward will be an absolute pleasure. Highly recommended, both of them.
