The Henson AL13 Safety Razor V2 is a precision-machined double edge safety razor designed to promote consistent blade control and a stable shaving angle. Manufactured in Canada from aircraft-grade aluminium, it is CNC-machined to maintain accurate geometry while remaining lightweight and durable in use.
The razor head is engineered to support the blade along its length, helping to reduce blade flex during shaving. This design encourages controlled, predictable cutting and allows effective shaving without relying on excess pressure. The geometry is intended to guide the razor toward a consistent shaving angle rather than requiring constant technique adjustment.
The Jet Black version features an anodised black finish applied to the same AL13 aluminium construction. The razor is available in Mild and Medium configurations to suit different shaving preferences and beard types. Supplied with five double edge razor blades, it is ready for immediate use.
Choosing Mild Or Medium
- Mild (0.68 mm): Suitable for lighter to medium beard growth, regular shaving, and those who prefer a gentler shaving feel.
- Medium (0.85 mm): Suited to denser or coarser beard growth, less frequent shaving, or users who prefer greater cutting efficiency.

Great razor and fast delivery
Very well made razor and is a joy to use, Razor is very safe to use as unless you get the correct blade angle it will not cut. Highly recommended for anyone just getting into wet shaving. It may seem a expensive razor to start with but it is a quality razor and will last you a lifetime
Superb quality and engineering that also provides a fantastic shave. I use with Feather or BIC Platinum blades and am very happy with the results and minimal irritation.
So far, so good. No nicks.
I had a V1 for a few years that was excellent and very comfortable. Unfortunately I dropped it and dented the corner (the V1 had square corners) which affected the way the blade sat so only.one side shaved properly. I decided to upgrade to the newer version.
The V2 looks more robust, has great looking, rounded corners, and the handle.is far easier to grip with the rougher knurling (another improvement on the V1). I've had one shave, using a Feather blade and it was the best shave I've ever had. Very happy.
