Martin De Candre Fougere (Fern) Shaving Soap

Martin de Candre Fougere Shaving Soap has a green, aromatic fragrance with a woody base. It is a brush-lathered French soap for those who prefer a barbershop-style scent rather than a simple single-note shaving fragrance.

Lavandin, thyme and bergamot give the scent its fresh opening, followed by geranium and patchouli with mossy, amber-like notes underneath. Choose the format separately from the fragrance: a travel jar and a sample envelope are different presentations.

Choosing a Format

• 200g Classic jar: The larger jar option for a regular shaving setup.
• 50g Travel size: A smaller jar that takes less room in a wash bag.

Lathering and Storage

Use a damp shaving brush to load a small amount of soap, then work the lather with water added gradually. A compact brush is easier to move inside the travel jar than an oversized knot.

With the sample sheet, work the damp brush over one area to collect soap and build the lather separately. Let the sheet dry before putting it back in its sleeve. The jar should also be drained and allowed to dry after use, rather than left full of water.
