Martin De Candre Magellan Shaving Soap

Martin de Candre Magellan is a French shaving soap with an aromatic, spicy fragrance built around thyme, clove and cinnamon, with woody and amber notes. It was created in 2024 for the maker's 50th anniversary.

Martin de Candre estimates around eight to twelve shaves from an envelope. That is an approximate guide, not a fixed yield: brush loading, lather quantity and the number of passes all affect how much soap you use.

How To Use

For the envelope, wet a shaving brush and work a small corner of the coated sheet with circular strokes. Develop the lather on the face, in the palm or in a separate bowl, adding water a little at a time. Leave the sheet to dry fully before returning it to the card sleeve.

With a jar, load the damp brush from the soap surface and then build the lather. Drain excess water after use and let the soap dry between shaves.
