Martin de Candre Vetiver Shaving Soap is a brush-lathered soap with a green, woody vetiver fragrance. Choose this version for its scent rather than a different shaving method: it is worked with water and a shaving brush, not applied as a ready-made foam.

Load a damp brush from the soap, then build the lather on your face or in a bowl. Drain the jar after use and give the soap time to dry before covering it for travel. For the Sample Envelope, work from a small part of the soap-coated sheet and let that sheet dry before putting it back in its sleeve.

Compare the 200g Classic jar with the smaller 50g Travel jar when deciding how much soap to buy. The Sample Envelope contains a soap-coated sheet rather than a small jar; it is intended for trying the fragrance and lather before choosing a larger format.
