The Merkur 25 INOX Open Comb Safety Razor combines a classic Merkur design from the 1920s with modern satin-finished stainless steel. Its long, diamond-knurled handle gives a secure hold with wet or soapy hands, while the three-piece construction keeps blade fitting and thorough cleaning straightforward.

The traditional open-tooth comb supports the blade across 11 teeth and leaves clear channels for lather and cut hair to pass through the head. This makes the 25 INOX particularly useful for shaving longer or denser growth, while the familiar Merkur head geometry helps the correct shaving angle feel natural rather than forced.

At 78 g, the razor has enough weight to work with minimal pressure. The extended 98 mm handle offers more reach than the compact Merkur 34 format and is well suited to larger hands or anyone who prefers a longer grip for face or body shaving.

How to Use and Care

Fit a standard double-edge blade and begin with the cap resting lightly against the skin, lowering the handle until the blade begins to cut at approximately a 30-degree angle. Use short strokes without pressing. After shaving, dismantle the three-piece head, rinse away lather and hair, and dry the components before reassembly.
