The Merkur 510 Progress Antique Brass Adjustable Safety Razor is the long-handled version of Merkur's classic adjustable razor, a design with roots in the 1950s. It combines a bright chrome body with a contrasting antique brass metal adjustment knob, engraved with the Merkur name.

Turning the numbered knob changes the blade gap from approximately 0.6 to 1.6 mm. Lower settings provide a gentler feel for daily shaving or more sensitive areas, while higher settings increase efficiency for denser or longer growth. The scale makes it easy to note a preferred setting or use different settings for separate passes.

The extended 94 mm handle offers more reach than the standard Merkur 500 Progress while retaining the familiar two-piece head and straight-cut closed comb. At 112 g, the razor feels substantial without needing added pressure, and the contoured handle remains secure during adjustment and shaving.
