The Muhle R41 Grande Safety Razor is an open comb double edge safety razor designed for very close, efficient shaving. I’ve always been a bit frightened of the R41 due to its fearsome reputation. However, I’m really delighted with my purchase. It gave an exceptionally close shave and you feel the difference. But so long are you’re careful and take your time, it’s fine. First shave with it and I had 3 days growth. I experienced virtually no skin irritation, just one very small area on my neck that was soon treated by using alum and a balm at the end. Comes with a free Muhle blade. I highly recommend if you want a very efficient shave!
