Parker A-1R Double Edge Travel Razor

The Parker A1R packs down into a small leather case, then assembles into a double edge safety razor with a 3.3-inch length. Its four-piece construction includes a handle that separates for transport.

At 2.7oz, approximately 77g, it has more substance than its packed size might suggest. Choose it for space-saving storage rather than assuming that a travel razor must be ultralight. The brass frame has a chrome-plated finish.

Assembly and Packing

Assemble the handle and fit the blade following Parker's supplied instructions. Keep fingers clear of the sharp edges and check that the connections are secure before shaving. Practise the assembly before your first trip so that each part has a familiar place.

Use a light touch and controlled strokes while finding the head angle. Afterwards, rinse away lather, clean and dry the parts, and return them to the case. Avoid closing damp components into leather for storage.
