Timor 1320 is a matt chrome butterfly safety razor from Giesen & Forsthoff. It takes a replaceable double-edge blade, with doors that open on top of the head for loading.

Choose this model if you want a shorter handle and a twist-to-open mechanism rather than a three-piece razor that must be taken apart. The specified 80mm measurement is the handle length, not the total length of the assembled razor.

Using the Butterfly Mechanism

Turn the opening control until the doors are fully open. Place the blade over the centre bar, holding it by its short, unsharpened ends, and close the doors completely. Check the blade is seated evenly before shaving. Do not use the razor with the doors partly open.

Apply lather, shave with short strokes and use light pressure. Rinse away soap and cut hair during the shave. Afterwards, rinse the razor thoroughly and allow it to dry. Handle used blades carefully and place them in a suitable blade disposal container.

Already used this razor several times and feels exactly like the 3 piece version I was using prior to the threaded screw part coming away from the top section, don't know if that piece can be bought separately, the blades are easier to load with the butterfly version I would say that the only real difference between the two razors is that the blade ends protude slightly further out on this version, but it's still a great razor for daily shavers or even beginners to wet shaving.
