I used to be something of a wet shaving enthusiast and at one time had a collection of over thirty double edged razors, but my desert island razor is without a doubt the Henson. Almost all DE razors are merely slight variations on the early 1900s models, with their protruding safety bars, awkward shaving angles, and flat caps which don't bend the blade much, meaning you scrape the blade rather than slice with it. The Henson changed all that with it's angular cap which sharply bends the blade so you shave with the sharp edge, and it also forces you to adopt the correct 30 degree angle. Even the mild version has quite a large blade gap offset by a small blade exposure, so the shave is efficient but still very smooth. I have all three Henson aluminium models, but when I saw Male Grooming Supplies' superb price I decided to treat myself to the Ti22 titanium version. You can adjust the effectiveness of it slightly by using sharper blades (like Feather or BiC) for heavy growth, or smoother coated blades (Astra Platinums and almost any modest Lord blade) for day to day shaves. I read that Male Grooming Supplies are safe and reliable suppliers so I snapped up this Henson without a second thought. It's the most effective razor I've ever owned, thoroughly recommended.
Absolutely stunning razor in titanium. I chose the mild plate and it gives a wonderfully smooth shave.
Excellent razor. The titanium finish looks aesthetically pleasing. I prefer the added weight over the AL13. I get a great shave with various different razor blades. Highly recommend and well worth the extra money. A true engineering feat.
Great razor, the grip on these henson razors is amazing better than anything else I’ve used, will last forever if you look after it the aluminium razors im sure are great too but the titanium has the cool factor for sure!
Before i bought the new model HensenTI22 +++ razor i had an Henson TI 22 ++ in the older version (bougt at ebay). It did good work but i didnt feel the blade during shaving.
Now with the new Razor +++ version for me everything is perfect.

Well worth the extra cost for the weight and precision. I intend to keep this for life so I'd rather buy once and be done and this fits the bill. The Mild version is the perfect aggression for me ... if you have a Rockwell 6C its in between a 2 and 3 plate for me
As a seventy year old man I’ve been shaving for a long long time and have used a lot of different razors in my time. My current razor, a hybrid made from the best bits of my other razors, was, I thought, the best shave I’ve had, until now. Having purchased a Henson Ti22 Titanium this is pure shaving bliss. I have dry sensitive skin and this razor gives a close, comfortable shave with no nicks or razor burn. Perfect.
I’m pleasantly surprised by the smoothness and thoroughness of this razor. I had hoped for a viable alternative to all this plastic based razors and so pleased I’ve found it!
